Beef and Macaroni with onions , green pepper, and tomato Sauce

Beef and Macaroni

1/2 cup Dry macaroni
1 lb. low fat ground beef
1 medium green pepper
1 medium white onion
1 medium can plain tomato sauce
1/2 can water
Dash salt and pepper
1 tbls Canola oil

Bring a medium pan with about 4 cups of water to boil add salt, cook macaroni until al dente.Cut onion and pepper into medium dice, removing seeds and membrane from pepper.  Heat oil in large Skillet over medium-high heat until glistening, not smoking, add pepper and onion, and saute until tender crisp, about 5 mins,  Remove from pan and add beef.  Fry until browned throughly.  Add back pepper and onion.  Stir in salt and pepper, add tomato sauce, water, and cooked and drained macaroni stir to combine.  Bring mixture to a boil and then reduce heat to low simmer.  Simmer for 30-40  minutes, until vegetables are soft,adding more water as necessary and stirring often.  Serve with salad and crusty bread and butter
